This course is designed to provide students with proven strategies and practical approaches to the management of risk associated with information technology projects. Further, the course will convey to the students that managing risk is a business imperative applicable to the full project lifecycle and will expand their knowledge of the ways and means(methods, techniques, and tools) and the skills required to perform the job of managing risk in a professional and comprehensive manner.

Participants are taught to relate risk management to the attainment of business and project objectives. They also are taught best practices to use in the identification, evaluation, migration,and monitoring of risk. The course emphasizes the importance of risk management early in the project life.
