Ihr neuer Diamant-Quantencomputer basiert auf einer Stickstoff-Spalt-Architektur und vereint Leistung und Mobilit\u00e4t. Das gesamte System ist in einem Standard-Servergeh\u00e4use untergebracht und kann an einer ganz normalen Steckdose betrieben werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das System von Saxon Q nutzt synthetische Diamanten, in denen einzelne Stickstoffatome Kohlenstoffatome ersetzen. Diese \u201eeingeschlossenen\u201c Stickstoffatome besitzen Elektronen, deren Spin unabh\u00e4ngig von ihrer Umgebung gesteuert werden kann. Mithilfe spezieller Laser setzen die Forscher den Zustand auf Null und manipulieren die Quantenzust\u00e4nde anschlie\u00dfend pr\u00e4zise mit Mikrowellenpulsen. Der entscheidende Durchbruch, den Prof. Marius Grundmann von der Universit\u00e4t Leipzig und Mitgr\u00fcnder des Unternehmens hervorhob, war die gleichzeitige Einbindung von Schwefel. Schwefel liefert eine negative Ladung und Elektronen, wodurch die Stabilit\u00e4t und Kontrollierbarkeit der Qubits deutlich erh\u00f6ht werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aktuell sind Saxon Q-Systemkonfigurationen mit bis zu 128 Qubits verf\u00fcgbar, eine Version mit 512 Qubits ist f\u00fcr das n\u00e4chste Jahr geplant. Langfristig, \u00fcber das Jahr 2030 hinaus, soll die Zahl von 10.000 Qubits \u00fcberschritten werden. Dennoch ist eine gewisse Skepsis angebracht. Obwohl das Unternehmen eine hohe Genauigkeit ohne Fehlerkorrektur angibt (99,92 Prozent bzw. zuletzt 99,98 Prozent f\u00fcr einzelne Qubits), wurden diese Daten noch nicht unabh\u00e4ngig von externen Forschern best\u00e4tigt. Zudem ist die Frage der Geschwindigkeit weiterhin ungekl\u00e4rt, da supraleitende Quantencomputer in der Regel schneller sind als Diamant-Quantencomputer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Hauptvorteil des Quantencomputers von Saxon Q liegt in seiner lokalen Einsatzm\u00f6glichkeit. Die F\u00e4higkeit, ohne Cloud-Anbindung zu arbeiten, ist f\u00fcr Edge-Computing-Anwendungen wie autonomes Fahren oder Robotik, bei denen Verz\u00f6gerungen inakzeptabel sind, von entscheidender Bedeutung. Die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Herausforderung f\u00fcr eine weitere Leistungssteigerung bleibt die Chipgr\u00f6\u00dfe.
