This discovery is important for several reasons. Users who are reluctant to invest in AMD's current AM5 platform and have older AM4 motherboards will have a cheaper option to improve gaming performance. This is especially true if they're upgrading from a Ryzen 1000, 2000, or 3000-series processor like the wildly popular Ryzen 5 2600.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, this means that they will not need to buy DDR5 memory, which still commands a higher price compared to the older DDR4 memory.
