Generation Z may be known as \u201cdigital natives,\u201d but these are the same people who were actually less willing to take a break from their digital devices during the baby boom era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That's according to the latest study by Squarespace, a website-building company that surveyed 4,000 adults in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia about their digital behavior. Here are some key takeaways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The advantages of the technology outweigh the disadvantages: <\/strong>50 % Generation Z wants to take a break from their phone. This is a higher number than any other generation. By contrast, baby boomers are the least likely to want a break from their phones, according to 20 %. However, 62 % respondents agreed that the flexibility offered by smartphones outweighs the downsides of being constantly available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Websites are more trusted than social media:<\/strong> 55 % respondents said they trust the general Internet to find information, compared to 12 % respondents who say they trust social networks.
