The Prime Air service has become even more strategic for Amazon in 2021, as the coronavirus crisis has clearly shown the increasing importance of online ordering and delivery of products purchased online. Amazon expects to make more than 10,000 drone deliveries by 2023. But in the course of this year, barely 100 of them were carried out in the US states of Texas and California.
