However, registration will still be required for, for example, DALLE-3, which is still paid for.<em>We&#039;re rolling this out gradually with the goal of making AI accessible to anyone interested in its capabilities<\/em>,\u201d OpenAI wrote in a blog post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since ChatGPT was first introduced in late 2022, interested users have been required to log into an OpenAI account. The chatbot has proven extremely popular and ChatGPT has become one of the fastest growing services ever. The company then added paid subscriptions to access other products, such as the DALL-E 3 and more advanced models. Web traffic tracker SimilarWeb, however, announced that ChatGPT, with an estimated 1.6 billion visitors in February, remains the most visited chatbot, although Google&#039;s Gemini is also slowly gaining momentum. However, ChatGPT&#039;s traffic has declined slightly from the highs reached in May 2023, when the estimated number of visits exceeded 1.8 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OpenAI adds that it has implemented \u201cadditional content management safeguards,\u201d including blocking prompts in a broader set of categories. It\u2019s not yet clear what those categories are exactly. However, the option to opt out of model training will still be available \u2014 so ChatGPT users can choose whether their activity can be used to train OpenAI models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, other OpenAI products, such as the newly announced AI voice cloning service Voice Engine and video creation platform Sora, remain available only to a limited number of users and partners and are not part of the benefits of an OpenAI account.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OpenAI is removing the need for account registration, opening ChatGPT to all users.
