The upcoming Surface Laptop 6 will have Qualcomm&#039;s Snapdragon X Elite chip. The codename of this device is OEMBR, and it appeared on the Geekbench benchmark in a configuration with 16GB of RAM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Microsoft is trying to cover up the arrival of the new laptop with all its measures. They used the very name Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 for the chip, although it is immediately clear that it is not the aforementioned chip, as we immediately notice a frequency of 4 GHz.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Snapdragon X1E-84-100 Oryon processor, the most powerful version in this family, reaches a maximum frequency of 4.2 GHz. Interestingly, benchmark tests indicate that the chip is running in a \u201cbalanced\u201d power profile, which means that it could reach a higher clock speed in performance mode. In one Geekbench result, the Surface Laptop 6 scored an incredible 2,714 points in the single-core test and 14,078 points in the multi-core test. In comparison, the latest MacBook Pro with the M3 Pro chip scored only slightly higher, at 3,084 in the single-core test and 14,017 in the multi-core test. The Surface Laptop 6 with the Snapdragon X Elite is clearly going to be a beast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judging by the results, Microsoft will finally have hardware that can compete with Apple this year. The Surface Laptop 6 and Surface Pro 10 are said to be the first Windows contenders with the new Snapdragon X chips.
