The FE is packed with features that have landed the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 on Tech Radar's list of the best smartwatches. While it appears to be inspired by the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, the FE features a Sapphire Crystal display, an upgrade over the Watch 4's Corning Gorilla Glass, one-click straps (with new designs), and some of the latest wellness tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sports enthusiasts will be delighted with more than 100 different exercises, personalized heart rate zones for improved activity measurement and advanced running monitoring. According to Samsung, this advanced running analysis even analyzes runners' posture and looks for asymmetries, as well as providing information on ground contact time. All this with the ultimate goal of improving performance and preventing injuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Watch FE has retained the Galaxy Watch 4's body composition measurement tool, which allows you to measure the percentage of body fat, muscle and bone. Tech Radar recently conducted a test of this tool on the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and compared the results to a smart scale. They found the results to be very accurate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other features include the familiar \u201cFind My Phone,\u201d camera controls, \u201cSamsung Wallet,\u201d and access to the Google Play Store. The Watch FE has everything you\u2019d expect from a Samsung watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For now, the cover image is the only official one we have. The Galaxy Watch FE will be available in three colors: silver, rose gold and black. The Bluetooth version will be available in the US from the end of June, while the LTE version will most likely be available towards the end of this year. The price of the watch in the US will be around US$300 for the bluetooth model and around US$250 for the LTE model. It will be available elsewhere in the world in the coming weeks, with an international price yet to be announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We all knew the FE model was coming, but it's certainly a surprise that it's been revealed ahead of this year's Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event next month. The "FE" designation is to Samsung what the "SE" is to Apple. It means a cheaper smartwatch that will still keep Samsung's Wear OS 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What does this mean for the other smartwatches expected to be released this year? Given that the Galaxy Watch FE was the cheapest model revealed, Samsung could follow Apple and introduce the other two models that have already been rumored. With the Ultra and Pro models, we could have three Samsung smartwatches on the market at once. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of course, there is another big question here that hears the name Samsung Galaxy Ring.
