The situation was serious, with gamers returning hundreds of Core i9 processors based on the Raptor Lake build every day. The problem is that many games display a notification about the lack of graphics memory. This often leads to the game closing automatically, even though there is more than enough graphics memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experts initially assumed that the problems were mainly related to the fact that powerful Intel processors are not adapted to work with the Unreal Engine graphics engine. The so-called &quot;Callisto Protocol&quot; is said to be particularly problematic. Namely, the problem manifested itself in the form of a blue screen of death of the Windows operating system. But it all ends with the automatic start of the computer. But Intel is convinced that the problem with their processors lies elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intel engineers wrote in a press release that problems with the instability of their 13th and 14th generation processors are actually related to overvoltage. This problem was caused by a software error in the algorithm, which should take care of voltage regulation. Because of this, Intel has already announced that they will soon release a patch that should finally eliminate both the memory shortage and the unstable operation of their newer processors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The patch for Intel 13th and 14th generation processors is expected to be ready for download in the second half of August. The novelty will most likely be available as a new version of the BIOS hardware code for motherboards.
