Ferrari and similar manufacturers do not need to sell millions of units of a particular model. First and foremost, they sell exclusivity, and owners of luxury horses would not be happy to see a Ferrari parked on every corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ferrari 430 was the best-selling Ferrari until the release of the 458. A good 17,000 examples left the Italian factories, and the 458 model further improved this and delighted 24,000 owners. To be more precise, they sold 15,000 italias, 3,000 speciales and 6,000 spiders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clearly, they are the breeding ground of every (small and big) child's dream sports car. Although usually overshadowed by its other Italian counterparts, Maserati holds the bragging rights when it comes to sales numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Maserati biturbo stopped at the number 36,373, and the current Levante model records the greatest success. Since the start of production (in 2016), more than 100,000 of these cars have been sold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Another manufacturer of luxury and sportiness that has also had quite a few hits. The Aston Martin DB7 has been the pinnacle of the British manufacturer for quite some time. Then came the vantage (2005) and in almost 20 years they managed to convince more than 25,000 owners that it was better than the Italian charmers. In all likelihood, he will have to hand over the crown to the newcomer Aston Martin DBX, but that won't happen anytime soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For a long time, Jaguar had a reputation as a manufacturer of unreliable cars, but this did not stop the company from producing more than a million XJ cars. They have been produced since 1968, when they were also known as the best sedans, especially in the V12 version with a 5.3-liter engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Porsche 911 is a sports car that you can drive to work, to the shops and to other errands every day. It has been advertised as such since 1963, when it was first produced. It is one of the oldest models still in production. Around 30,000 Porsche 911s are still sold each year, with a total of more than 1.2 million in the last 60 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was difficult to compete with the Golf in the 1970s and 1980s, although quite a few manufacturers tried. Alfa Romeo produced a front-wheel-drive gem that impressed with the fun to drive and character that graced Alfa Romeo cars for many years. The alfasud model was a strong competitor to the golf, and in 17 years (1972-1989) more than a million cars were produced. If the build quality wasn't questionable (rust was ubiquitous), we might have sold even more cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Swedish manufacturer of "tanks" in the form of a car anchored itself in the memory of the older generation with the 200 model. Between 1974 and 1993, almost three million families were transported with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Citro\u00ebn and the then president, Piere-Jules Boulanger, resisted the German occupation during the Second World War and refused to reveal the plans for the TPV model of the time, which was later used as the basis for the French manufacturer's biggest hit - the 2CV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Citroen 2CV was designed for farmers who in those days still relied on horses and carts. The 2CV was therefore an extremely simple car with low maintenance costs and an excellent air-cooled engine. Since paved roads were not commonplace in those days, the 2CV was advertised as a car that could cross a freshly plowed field with a basket of eggs in the passenger seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The nickname "umbrella on wheels" stuck to it for a long time. During 50 years of production, 3.9 million units were sold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Porsche, Karmann and ItalDesign came together to create the Ibiza in 1984, and the rest, as they say, is history. By 1990, when Seat was taken over by Volkswagen, 1.3 million Ibizas had been sold, and to date, more than 6.5 million have been sold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We were able to drive a Kia on European soil for the first time in 2006, when the first cars left the Slovakian factory in \u017dilina. Almost 40 % of all cars produced by Skoda are Octavies, or more precisely, they sold more than 7 .5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Audi A4 is credited with establishing the manufacturer among the strong competition of luxury cars. In the first year alone (1994) they sold 120,000 copies, and in the next 30 years an additional 8 million were sold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We can thank the Italians for the legendary fi\u010dkot, which started life as the fiat 600. It is interesting, however, that the fiat 500, which is the most famous model of this manufacturer, is not the best-selling car in their history. That honor goes to the Fiat Uno, which was a hot commodity in the 80s and 90s. When its lifespan ended, the number stopped at 8.8 million copies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But he won't stay on top for long. Panda and fiat 500 are still selling and are very close to record numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It first appeared in hatchback form (1998), two years later as a coupe convertible, then as a convertible and then as a sedan. In Europe, it was replaced by the 207 in 2006, but its production continued in other markets. The last production line was shut down last year in Iran. One of these is also their best-selling model. Since they don't make the bug anymore, the only logical winner is the golf.
