Hoy en d\u00eda podemos escuchar algo nuevo en este campo pr\u00e1cticamente todos los d\u00edas. Cuando empezamos a hablar de &quot;cu\u00e1ntico&quot; en el campo de la inform\u00e1tica, nos acercamos a cambios verdaderamente dram\u00e1ticos que dar\u00e1n forma a la era venidera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La computaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica es una tecnolog\u00eda basada en los principios de la teor\u00eda cu\u00e1ntica, que explica la naturaleza de la energ\u00eda a nivel de \u00e1tomos. Las computadoras cu\u00e1nticas actuales contienen docenas de qubits (bits cu\u00e1nticos). Cada qubit existe en una superposici\u00f3n de ceros y unos (es decir, un qubit tiene un n\u00famero &quot;distinto de cero&quot; de posibilidades de ser cero o uno) hasta que se mide. El desarrollo de qubits tiene implicaciones para el manejo de datos masivos y el logro de niveles hasta ahora inalcanzables de eficiencia inform\u00e1tica, lo que tiene un enorme potencial para la computaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ingenieros de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda Molecular de Chicago (Escuela de Ingenier\u00eda Molecular Pritzker y Laboratorio Nacional Argonne) han demostrado que la computaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica tambi\u00e9n se puede utilizar para almacenar datos. Para ello se utilizaron cristales de \u00f3xido de magnesio con elementos raros y los datos se almacenan mediante fotones de diferentes longitudes de onda. El resultado de todo esto son los soportes de memoria, que en el futuro podr\u00edan almacenar hasta 1.000 veces m\u00e1s datos de los que se pueden almacenar hoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aunque el almacenamiento de datos con una computadora cu\u00e1ntica es muy prometedor, tendr\u00e1 que esperar un poco m\u00e1s. La tecnolog\u00eda actual a\u00fan no est\u00e1 preparada para este tipo de almacenamiento de datos.
