Este innovador complejo tecnol\u00f3gico, ubicado en el lecho marino frente a la costa de Shangh\u00e1i, en la Zona Especial de Lin-hang, comenz\u00f3 a operar a finales de mayo. El proyecto ofrece enormes ventajas sobre las instalaciones terrestres, ya que no requiere agua dulce para funcionar y reduce la necesidad de utilizar terrenos valiosos en m\u00e1s del 90 por ciento.<br><br>El centro fue construido por una filial de China Communications Construction. La estructura submarina aprovecha el entorno oceanogr\u00e1fico circundante como disipador de calor natural, que se elimina de los sistemas mediante un circuito de refrigeraci\u00f3n cerrado. Los centros terrestres tradicionales suelen utilizar agua dulce debido a su menor contenido de sales, minerales e impurezas biol\u00f3gicas, ya que no provoca corrosi\u00f3n en las tuber\u00edas y mantiene una alta eficiencia de refrigeraci\u00f3n. El centro submarino chino resuelve estos problemas con un sistema cerrado especial de intercambiadores de calor de tuber\u00edas de cobre, que reduce el consumo el\u00e9ctrico en un 22,8 %. Adem\u00e1s, los parques e\u00f3licos marinos generan hasta el 95 % de la electricidad que necesita la instalaci\u00f3n para alimentar sus 192 gabinetes de servidores, distribuidos en cuatro plantas.<br><br>El profesor Li Zhen, de la Universidad de Tsinghua, explic\u00f3 a los medios que el consumo el\u00e9ctrico para la refrigeraci\u00f3n en un entorno subacu\u00e1tico representa solo una d\u00e9cima parte del consumo energ\u00e9tico total del centro. Si los sistemas de esta magnitud se instalaran bajo el agua, el consumo energ\u00e9tico para la refrigeraci\u00f3n se reducir\u00eda a unos 30.000 millones de kW, lo que supondr\u00eda un ahorro anual de unos 50.000 millones de kWh.<br><br>Actualmente, el centro opera a 2,3 MW, pero la capacidad final prevista alcanza los 24 MW, suficiente para abastecer a 20\u00a0000 hogares. Esta amplia reserva permite futuras actualizaciones de hardware y la expansi\u00f3n de la capacidad de procesamiento sin interrupciones. A pesar de sus evidentes ventajas, la computaci\u00f3n submarina a escala comercial sigue siendo una inc\u00f3gnita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Persisten las dudas sobre la durabilidad del equipo y el impacto ecol\u00f3gico de la constante emisi\u00f3n de calor al medio marino local.
