Gigantes tecnol\u00f3gicos como Samsung, SK Hynix y Micron han concentrado desde hace tiempo la mayor parte de su capacidad de producci\u00f3n en la fabricaci\u00f3n de memoria HBM avanzada y m\u00f3dulos de servidor para alimentar centros de datos de inteligencia artificial. Como resultado, se ha producido una escasez de chips est\u00e1ndar, lo que ha desencadenado una reacci\u00f3n en cadena que ahora ha alcanzado la base de la tecnolog\u00eda, concretamente la memoria de sistema DDR2.<br><br>La escasez no afect\u00f3 directamente la producci\u00f3n de memoria DDR2, sino que fue consecuencia de un aumento de la demanda. A medida que se agotaban las existencias de memoria DDR4, los fabricantes de PC comenzaron a adaptar sus dispositivos al est\u00e1ndar DDR3, m\u00e1s antiguo. Pero cuando este tambi\u00e9n se agot\u00f3, algunos modificaron sus planes para dar soporte al est\u00e1ndar DDR2, a\u00fan m\u00e1s antiguo. Por lo tanto, no sorprende que el precio de este \u00faltimo tambi\u00e9n haya comenzado a subir debido al incremento de la demanda.<br><br>En el mercado, solo quedan unos pocos fabricantes que mantienen l\u00edneas de producci\u00f3n de DDR2, pero est\u00e1n reaccionando de forma muy diferente. Winbond est\u00e1 reduciendo gradualmente su producci\u00f3n de DDR2 y destinando su capacidad a los est\u00e1ndares m\u00e1s rentables DDR3, DDR4 y LPDDR4. Por el contrario, ESMT est\u00e1 aumentando la producci\u00f3n de DDR2 en su procesador asociado PSMC para captar a los clientes que Winbond est\u00e1 abandonando.
