Esta es la primera vez en la historia de la inform\u00e1tica que se logra concentrar tal cantidad de componentes en un espacio tan reducido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los nuevos chips de 0,7 nan\u00f3metros representan un avance incre\u00edble. Son un 50 % m\u00e1s potentes y un 70 % m\u00e1s eficientes energ\u00e9ticamente que los chips de 2 nan\u00f3metros de IBM de 2021, que hasta entonces se consideraban los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os del mundo.<br><br>Este cambio hacia dimensiones ultracompactas tendr\u00e1 un impacto enorme en el campo de la inteligencia artificial. Los aceleradores de IA m\u00e1s populares de la actualidad pueden procesar alrededor de 1500 TOPS (miles de millones de operaciones por segundo). Los investigadores de IBM estiman que los nuevos chips podr\u00edan alcanzar un rendimiento seis veces mayor, alrededor de 9000 TOPS.
