Unos peque\u00f1os dispositivos voladores inspirados en insectos podr\u00edan desplazarse f\u00e1cilmente entre los escombros, pero hasta ahora estos microrobots han sido demasiado lentos y torpes para un uso serio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un equipo del MIT, liderado por los profesores Kevin Chen y Jonathan P. How, ha logrado superar este problema. Mediante un nuevo sistema de control basado en inteligencia artificial, han creado un robot en miniatura capaz de volar como insectos reales. Este dispositivo, impulsado por m\u00fasculos artificiales flexibles, permite que sus alas aleteen con extrema rapidez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La principal raz\u00f3n de este notable salto en el rendimiento reside en el software de dos etapas. Los cient\u00edficos utilizaron un sofisticado modelo matem\u00e1tico para la planificaci\u00f3n del vuelo que predice el movimiento y calcula maniobras complejas como giros bruscos y alabeos sucesivos. Dado que estos c\u00e1lculos consumir\u00edan demasiada potencia de c\u00e1lculo durante el vuelo, este sistema actu\u00f3 como un &quot;maestro&quot;. Mediante el aprendizaje por imitaci\u00f3n, crearon un modelo de inteligencia artificial m\u00e1s ligero y r\u00e1pido que se ejecuta directamente durante el vuelo en tiempo real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los resultados de las pruebas son impresionantes. El peque\u00f1o robot realiz\u00f3 con \u00e9xito 10 giros consecutivos en el aire en tan solo 11 segundos, manteni\u00e9ndose a una distancia de entre 4 y 5 cm de su trayectoria prevista, a pesar de las r\u00e1fagas de viento ocasionales. Tambi\u00e9n puede realizar una maniobra de cabeceo y parada r\u00e1pida y potente, similar a la que utilizan los insectos para estabilizar su visi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Actualmente, el sistema depende de c\u00e1maras externas para monitorizar su posici\u00f3n en el espacio.
