Cependant, le forage de puits est largement non r\u00e9glement\u00e9 et mal document\u00e9, ce qui peut avoir de graves cons\u00e9quences \u00e0 long terme pour les populations et la nature. Une solution est le dessalement de l&#039;eau de mer, qui r\u00e9duit la d\u00e9pendance aux eaux souterraines.<br><br>Il n&#039;est donc pas surprenant que des chercheurs de l&#039;Universit\u00e9 polytechnique de Hong Kong aient d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 un nouvel a\u00e9rogel de carbone pour un dessalement autonome en \u00e9nergie. M\u00eame \u00e0 plus grande \u00e9chelle, ce mat\u00e9riau pr\u00e9sente une perte de capacit\u00e9 inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 5 %, tandis que les \u00e9vaporateurs traditionnels perdent plus de 40 % d&#039;efficacit\u00e9.<br><br>L&#039;a\u00e9rogel pr\u00e9sente des trous verticaux r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement espac\u00e9s de 20 microm\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre. Il est fabriqu\u00e9 par impression 3D d&#039;une p\u00e2te de nanotubes de carbone et de nanofibres de cellulose, couche par couche, sur un substrat congel\u00e9. Pour les tests, les chercheurs ont utilis\u00e9 des \u00e9chantillons carr\u00e9s de 1 \u00e0 8 cm, en int\u00e9rieur et en ext\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats des tests ont montr\u00e9 que l&#039;a\u00e9rogel permet un dessalement complet, quelle que soit sa taille. Cette innovation pourrait donc entrer dans notre quotidien prochainement.
