Aujourd&#039;hui, le plastique est si r\u00e9pandu qu&#039;il \u00e9merge d\u00e9j\u00e0 sous la forme d&#039;une nouvelle couche g\u00e9ologique\u00a0: le \u00ab\u00a0plastistone\u00a0\u00bb. On estime que le cerveau humain moyen contient jusqu&#039;\u00e0 une cuill\u00e8re \u00e0 soupe de microplastique. La gravit\u00e9 du probl\u00e8me a conduit les Nations Unies \u00e0 \u00e9laborer un trait\u00e9 mondial sur les plastiques.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mais comme nous ne parvenons toujours pas \u00e0 contr\u00f4ler la prolif\u00e9ration du plastique, certains scientifiques et industries cherchent des solutions. Parmi elles, bien s\u00fbr, figure la m\u00e9thode controvers\u00e9e de reconversion du plastique en p\u00e9trole utilisable. Si elle est efficacement d\u00e9ploy\u00e9e \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, la \u00ab\u00a0bio-huile\u00a0\u00bb pourrait alimenter des technologies n\u00e9cessitant du combustible pour le chauffage et l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, comme les chaudi\u00e8res, les turbines et les moteurs diesel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Des chercheurs de l&#039;Universit\u00e9 Yale ont r\u00e9cemment pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 une nouvelle m\u00e9thode permettant d&#039;augmenter le rendement de la bio-huile et de r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts. Ils utilisent la pyrolyse \u2013 chauffage sans oxyg\u00e8ne \u2013 \u00e0 900 \u00b0C, qui d\u00e9compose les polym\u00e8res plastiques en hydrocarbures. La pyrolyse atteint g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un rendement de 60 %, mais la nouvelle m\u00e9thode sans catalyseur atteint 66 %.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au lieu de catalyseurs co\u00fbteux, ils ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 un r\u00e9acteur en carbone imprim\u00e9 en 3D, dot\u00e9 de trois sections de pores diff\u00e9rents\u00a0: 1\u00a0mm, 500\u00a0\u00b5m et 200\u00a0nm.
