Ils sont parvenus \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper une cellule cylindrique 18650 \u00e0 partir de mat\u00e9riaux d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s et fabriqu\u00e9s au Royaume-Uni. Cette avanc\u00e9e repr\u00e9sente un progr\u00e8s significatif vers une plus grande ind\u00e9pendance europ\u00e9enne dans le domaine des batteries.<br><br>Cette nouvelle cellule combine des technologies sodium-ion d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es par Batri et l&#039;Universit\u00e9 de Swansea, notamment un carbone composite d\u00e9riv\u00e9 de l&#039;anthracite galloise. Les mat\u00e9riaux de l&#039;anode et de la cathode sont enti\u00e8rement fabriqu\u00e9s au Royaume-Uni. Le directeur technique de Batri, Stephen Hughes, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que cette r\u00e9alisation prouvait que \u00ab\u00a0la production nationale de batteries est possible et d\u00e9j\u00e0 une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 au Pays de Galles\u00a0\u00bb.<br><br>Le projet a b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 du soutien de la Faraday Institution, qui a financ\u00e9 le d\u00e9veloppement, les essais et l&#039;int\u00e9gration des mat\u00e9riaux dans un format cylindrique commercialisable. Selon Batri, la cellule de d\u00e9monstration n&#039;est que le point de d\u00e9part d&#039;un programme de d\u00e9veloppement plus vaste, plusieurs nouvelles cellules \u00e9tant d\u00e9j\u00e0 en production. L&#039;entreprise d\u00e9veloppe par ailleurs ses capacit\u00e9s de fabrication de mat\u00e9riaux et sa propre unit\u00e9 de production de cellules de batteries au Pays de Galles.<br><br>Batri collabore \u00e9galement avec des partenaires comme AceOn Group pour int\u00e9grer des cellules sodium-ion dans des modules de batteries interchangeables et des syst\u00e8mes \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques personnalis\u00e9s. Mark Thompson, PDG d&#039;AceOn, a soulign\u00e9 que la prochaine \u00e9tape sera ax\u00e9e sur des solutions modulaires pouvant \u00eatre rapidement adapt\u00e9es aux besoins.<br><br>Un volet essentiel de la collaboration entre Batri et l&#039;Universit\u00e9 de Swansea consiste \u00e0 mettre en place des fili\u00e8res d&#039;approvisionnement locales pour les mat\u00e9riaux actifs.
