D\u00e9velopp\u00e9e dans le cadre du programme Aurora, sa nouvelle batterie promet de r\u00e9soudre trois des principaux probl\u00e8mes des technologies actuelles\u00a0: leur co\u00fbt \u00e9lev\u00e9, la raret\u00e9 des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res et leurs performances m\u00e9diocres en conditions hivernales. La cellule prototype atteint une densit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de 170\u00a0Wh\/kg, la pla\u00e7ant ainsi au sommet du secteur des batteries sodium.<br><br>La caract\u00e9ristique la plus impressionnante est sans conteste sa vitesse de charge. Le syst\u00e8me prend en charge la technologie avanc\u00e9e 4C, permettant une charge compl\u00e8te en seulement 11 minutes. Outre cette rapidit\u00e9 fulgurante, la technologie BAIC excelle \u00e9galement dans les conditions de temp\u00e9ratures extr\u00eames. La batterie fonctionne de mani\u00e8re optimale entre -40 \u00b0C et 60 \u00b0C, conservant plus de 92 % de sa capacit\u00e9 m\u00eame \u00e0 -20 \u00b0C. Il s&#039;agit d&#039;un avantage majeur par rapport aux batteries lithium-fer-phosphate (LFP), dont l&#039;efficacit\u00e9 se d\u00e9grade rapidement par temps froid.<br><br>Les tests de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 l&#039;extr\u00eame stabilit\u00e9 des piles au sodium\u00a0; elles supportent une surcharge jusqu&#039;\u00e0 200\u00a0V (%) sans risque d&#039;incendie et restent s\u00fbres m\u00eame \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures atteignant 200\u00a0\u00b0C. Bien que BAIC n&#039;ait pas encore communiqu\u00e9 la date pr\u00e9cise de leur int\u00e9gration en s\u00e9rie dans ses v\u00e9hicules, les processus de production en grande s\u00e9rie sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00eats.
