Ce complexe technologique innovant, situ\u00e9 au large de Shanghai, dans la zone sp\u00e9ciale de Lin-hang, est op\u00e9rationnel depuis fin mai. Ce projet pr\u00e9sente des avantages consid\u00e9rables par rapport aux installations terrestres\u00a0: il ne n\u00e9cessite aucune eau douce et r\u00e9duit de plus de 90\u00a0% la surface terrestre n\u00e9cessaire.<br><br>Le centre a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit par une filiale de China Communications Construction. La structure sous-marine utilise l&#039;environnement oc\u00e9anique environnant comme dissipateur thermique naturel, la chaleur \u00e9tant \u00e9vacu\u00e9e des syst\u00e8mes par un circuit de refroidissement ferm\u00e9. Les centres terrestres traditionnels privil\u00e9gient g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement l&#039;eau douce, moins sal\u00e9e, min\u00e9ralis\u00e9e et exempte d&#039;impuret\u00e9s biologiques, car elle ne provoque pas la corrosion des canalisations et garantit une efficacit\u00e9 de refroidissement \u00e9lev\u00e9e. Le centre sous-marin chinois r\u00e9sout ces probl\u00e8mes gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me ferm\u00e9 d&#039;\u00e9changeurs de chaleur en cuivre, r\u00e9duisant ainsi la consommation d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 de 22,8 %. De plus, des parcs \u00e9oliens offshore produisent jusqu&#039;\u00e0 95 % de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire au fonctionnement des 192 baies de serveurs, r\u00e9parties sur quatre \u00e9tages.<br><br>Le professeur Li Zhen de l&#039;universit\u00e9 Tsinghua a expliqu\u00e9 aux m\u00e9dias que la consommation d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire au refroidissement dans un tel environnement sous-marin ne repr\u00e9sente qu&#039;un dixi\u00e8me de la consommation \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique totale du centre. Si des syst\u00e8mes de cette envergure \u00e9taient immerg\u00e9s, la consommation d&#039;\u00e9nergie pour le refroidissement serait r\u00e9duite \u00e0 environ 30 milliards de kW, ce qui permettrait d&#039;\u00e9conomiser environ 50 milliards de kWh d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 par an.<br><br>Le centre fonctionne actuellement \u00e0 2,3 MW, mais sa capacit\u00e9 finale pr\u00e9vue est de 24 MW, ce qui suffirait \u00e0 alimenter 20\u00a0000 foyers. Cette importante r\u00e9serve permet des mises \u00e0 niveau mat\u00e9rielles continues et une augmentation future de la capacit\u00e9 de calcul. Malgr\u00e9 ses avantages \u00e9vidents, l&#039;informatique sous-marine \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9chelle commerciale reste encore \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Des questions subsistent quant \u00e0 la durabilit\u00e9 de l&#039;\u00e9quipement et \u00e0 l&#039;impact \u00e9cologique du rejet constant de chaleur dans le milieu marin local.
