Leurs \u00e9lectrolytes liquides sont inflammables, ce qui peut provoquer des explosions ou des incendies chimiques dangereux en cas de dommages ou d&#039;exposition \u00e0 une forte chaleur. Lors de tests \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante, la batterie a conserv\u00e9 76,2 % de sa capacit\u00e9 initiale apr\u00e8s 100 cycles de charge et de d\u00e9charge. Si ce r\u00e9sultat est prometteur en laboratoire, une durabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 long terme encore plus importante, sur des milliers de cycles, sera n\u00e9cessaire pour une utilisation quotidienne dans les appareils \u00e9lectroniques.<br><br>Cependant, cette technologie rec\u00e8le un potentiel consid\u00e9rable pour r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts de fabrication. Elle ne n\u00e9cessite aucune pression externe pour conserver sa forme, contrairement \u00e0 d&#039;autres conceptions \u00e0 semi-conducteurs. Plus important encore, elle peut \u00eatre fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#039;air libre plut\u00f4t que dans des laboratoires sous vide co\u00fbteux et herm\u00e9tiques.
