Cette technologie ouvre la voie \u00e0 une recherche plus rapide dans les domaines du changement climatique, du d\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux m\u00e9dicaments et mat\u00e9riaux synth\u00e9tiques, ainsi que de solutions avanc\u00e9es pour les \u00e9nergies propres. IBM pr\u00e9voit de construire, d&#039;ici 2033, des syst\u00e8mes comportant plus de 2\u00a0000 qubits et un milliard de circuits quantiques dans ce domaine, dans le cadre de sa plateforme IBM Quantum Platform. Un objectif interm\u00e9diaire important est d&#039;\u00e9liminer les erreurs sur les syst\u00e8mes dot\u00e9s de 200 qubits et de 100 millions de portes logiques, un domaine o\u00f9 le processeur IBM Nighthawk r2, avec ses 7\u00a0500 portes logiques, \u00e9tablit une nouvelle \u00e9tape d\u00e9cisive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans le fonctionnement des syst\u00e8mes quantiques jusqu&#039;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, le principal d\u00e9lai notable \u00e9tait la r\u00e9initialisation conditionnelle, durant laquelle les qubits devaient se reposer dans leur \u00e9tat fondamental avant une nouvelle s\u00e9rie d&#039;op\u00e9rations de calcul. Cette pause durait g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement plusieurs centaines de microsecondes et constituait un goulot d&#039;\u00e9tranglement important. IBM a r\u00e9solu ce probl\u00e8me dans le processeur IBM Nighthawk r2 en int\u00e9grant un dispositif de r\u00e9initialisation dissipatif. Ce dispositif utilise un coupleur \u00e0 grande gamme dynamique pour ramener instantan\u00e9ment le qubit programmable \u00e0 son \u00e9tat fondamental lorsque cela est n\u00e9cessaire. Le temps de conservation de l&#039;\u00e9nergie du qubit a ainsi \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duit de 200 microsecondes \u00e0 environ 25 nanosecondes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chaque qubit \u00e9tant connect\u00e9 individuellement au coupleur, la r\u00e9initialisation s&#039;effectue de mani\u00e8re totalement ind\u00e9pendante, sans affecter les \u00e9l\u00e9ments voisins. Le temps d&#039;inactivit\u00e9 total entre chaque cycle a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duit \u00e0 une seule microseconde, permettant d&#039;atteindre des vitesses de 100\u00a0000 cycles par seconde. C&#039;est 25 fois plus rapide que le pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent mod\u00e8le IBM Heron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Des r\u00e9initialisations plus rapides r\u00e9duisent \u00e9galement les erreurs initiales d&#039;un facteur 25, et le processeur IBM Nighthawk r2 utilise une structure maill\u00e9e o\u00f9 la plupart des qubits sont connect\u00e9s \u00e0 leurs quatre plus proches voisins.
