Testiranje na javno dostupnim modelima kao \u0161to su OpenAI GPT-OSS 120B, DeepSeek R1 i Moonshot AI Kimi K2.5 pokazalo je da novajlija posti\u017ee 1,5 do 1,9 puta bolju u\u010dinkovitost po vatu potro\u0161ene elektri\u010dne energije pri vr\u0161noj propusnosti. Istovremeno, ukupna latencija smanjena je za 1,7 do 3,6 puta. Spomenute prednosti bile su jo\u0161 izra\u017eenije za visoko interaktivne zadatke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iako je slu\u017ebeno predvi\u0111ena snaga OpenAI Jalape\u00f1a od 700 W, mjerenja su pokazala da je stvarna potro\u0161nja energije pod optere\u0107enjem ostala na ili ispod 550 W. Za programere je klju\u010dna metrika prvenstveno koli\u010dina obavljenog rada po jedinici energije, a ne samo sirova snaga. Prilikom obrade podataka, novi akcelerator pokazao je visok broj obra\u0111enih tokena po kilovatu energije u usporedbi s trenutno vode\u0107im sustavima na tr\u017ei\u0161tu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arhitektura \u010dipa prilago\u0111ena je specifi\u010dnim fazama obrade jezi\u010dnih modela, gdje se zahtjevi za ra\u010dunalnom snagom i propusno\u0161\u0107u memorije brzo mijenjaju. Novi sustav je, naravno, razvijen kao cjelina, povezuju\u0107i procesor, memoriju i mre\u017eu na razini cijelih serverskih rackova. Jo\u0161 jedna zanimljiva \u010dinjenica je da je OpenAI koristio vlastite alate umjetne inteligencije za dizajn \u010dipa, \u0161to je skratilo ciklus razvoja na samo devet mjeseci. Umjetna inteligencija pomogla je u optimizaciji \u010dak i pojedina\u010dnih matemati\u010dkih sklopova i ubrzala prilagodbu koda za nove modele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naravno, podaci trenutno dolaze uglavnom iz kontroliranih testova, a stvarna stabilnost i isplativost sustava bit \u0107e dokazane tek kada se bude koristio u okru\u017eenju masovne proizvodnje. OpenAI tako\u0111er ne planira potpuno napustiti postoje\u0107e partnere. Nastavit \u0107e koristiti opremu tvrtki Nvidia, AMD, Microsoft, Amazon AWS i drugih, jer \u017eele odr\u017eati raznolikost izvora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Po\u010detak integracije OpenAI Jalape\u00f1o \u010dipa u vlastite podatkovne centre planiran je do kraja 2026. godine.
