Un nuovo metodo di laboratorio, pubblicato sulla rivista Science, dimostra che i rifiuti di plastica mista possono essere convertiti in idrocarburi simili alla benzina e acido cloridrico (HCl) in un unico passaggio. I ricercatori dell&#039;ECNU segnalano un&#039;elevata efficienza a temperature fino a 30 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il metodo gestisce flussi di rifiuti misti e persino contaminati, il che \u00e8 fondamentale poich\u00e9 la maggior parte dei rifiuti plastici \u00e8 difficile da separare. Il nuovo metodo combina la scissione dei legami carboniosi e la rimozione del cloro in un unico passaggio, producendo idrocarburi di benzina privi di cloro (C6\u2013C12) e HCl come sottoprodotto. I catalizzatori liquidi ionici cloroalluminati consentono una reazione controllata a bassa temperatura.<br><br>Nei test, la conversione dei tubi in PVC morbido \u00e8 stata del 95%, mentre quella dei tubi e cavi rigidi \u00e8 arrivata al 99%.
