Gli scienziati dell&#039;Universit\u00e0 Fudan di Shanghai hanno presentato il primo chip flash 2D completamente funzionante, che combina la tecnologia di memoria 2D ultraveloce con una piattaforma CMOS matura basata sul silicio.<br><br>Il dispositivo supporta istruzioni a 8 bit e l&#039;elaborazione ad accesso casuale parallelo a 32 bit, raggiungendo un&#039;efficienza delle celle di memoria del 94,3%. La velocit\u00e0 operativa supera quella delle tecnologie flash esistenti, segnando la prima integrazione riuscita di materiali 2D con il silicio.<br><br>Nell&#039;era dell&#039;intelligenza artificiale, in cui la velocit\u00e0 di accesso ai dati \u00e8 fondamentale, questa innovazione risolve una delle pi\u00f9 grandi sfide dell&#039;informatica moderna, ovvero le architetture di memoria lente e che consumano molta energia.<br><br>Ad aprile, il team ha sviluppato un prototipo di memoria flash PoX 2D, raggiungendo una velocit\u00e0 di scrittura di 400 picosecondi. Si tratta della scrittura su memoria pi\u00f9 veloce mai registrata. Integrandola nelle piattaforme CMOS esistenti, gli scienziati hanno ridotto significativamente i tempi di utilizzo commerciale.<br><br>Utilizzando materiali 2D flessibili e un approccio modulare, hanno creato connessioni stabili tra circuiti 2D e substrati CMOS a livello atomico, consentendo una comunicazione efficiente tra le due tecnologie.<br><br>Il chip ha gi\u00e0 completato la fase di tape-out e la produzione pilota e l&#039;espansione a un sistema megabyte sono previste nei prossimi tre-cinque anni.
