Il chip rappresenta una risposta diretta alle rigide restrizioni all&#039;esportazione imposte dagli Stati Uniti, che impediscono alla Cina di accedere a macchine per la litografia all&#039;avanguardia e a memorie HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) ad alta velocit\u00e0.<br><br>La DF1000 \u00e8 realizzata con un processo produttivo a 14 nm consolidato e collaudato. L&#039;azienda afferma che il suo nuovo chip pu\u00f2 offrire fino a 520 teraflops (TFLOPS) di potenza di calcolo con precisione BF16, lo standard per l&#039;apprendimento di modelli linguistici di grandi dimensioni. Si tratta di circa 52,6 TFLOPS di prestazioni rispetto alle schede di punta H100 e H200 di Nvidia, ma il vantaggio principale risiede altrove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grazie all&#039;utilizzo del software-defined computing e del 3D near-memory computing, il nuovo chip raggiunge una larghezza di banda di memoria di 6,4 TB\/s. Si tratta di quasi il doppio rispetto all&#039;H100 di Nvidia e circa 33 TB\/s in pi\u00f9 rispetto all&#039;H200. Grazie a una speciale interconnessione verticale, la memoria DRAM classica viene impilata direttamente sopra il circuito del processore, accorciando drasticamente il percorso dei dati ed eliminando la necessit\u00e0 di memorie HBM, che altrimenti sarebbero proibitive.<br><br>Sebbene queste specifiche siano impressionanti sulla carta, la realt\u00e0 \u00e8 un po&#039; diversa. La vera sfida per Dongfang Suanxin non sar\u00e0 solo il silicio in s\u00e9, ma la maturit\u00e0 del software, la stabilit\u00e0 dei driver e l&#039;efficienza della connessione di pi\u00f9 schede nei data center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&#039;azienda sta gi\u00e0 pianificando i successori del processore AI DF1000. Il modello DF2000 dovrebbe essere lanciato alla fine del 2026, con prestazioni raddoppiate e la possibilit\u00e0 di competere direttamente con la scheda H200, mentre il modello DF3000 dovrebbe essere lanciato alla fine del 2027.
