L&#039;azienda ha presentato un prototipo della scheda madre e della scheda grafica, dove quest&#039;ultima riceve energia tramite un connettore di alimentazione aggiuntivo sulla scheda stessa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sono apparsi anche la documentazione ufficiale e i rendering del nuovo standard per le connessioni di alimentazione GC-HPWR\/HPCE, progettate per fornire alimentazione aggiuntiva alla scheda grafica attraverso la scheda madre. La connessione pu\u00f2 fornire pi\u00f9 di 600 W di potenza, eguagliando le capacit\u00e0 della connessione 12VHPWR in termini di potenza continua di picco. Vale la pena notare che questo connettore non \u00e8 nuovo, ma una versione modificata di uno standard ampiamente utilizzato nel mercato dei server. Sulla base dell&#039;esperienza nel segmento server, la connessione consumer HPCE (High Power Card Edge) potrebbe risolvere i problemi di affidabilit\u00e0 associati al nuovo connettore 12VHPWR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secondo Tom&#039;s Hardware, la connessione \u00e8 suddivisa in quattro set di connettori, 16 dei quali dedicati al circuito di alimentazione e 12 alla comunicazione scheda-scheda. Questa connessione ha le stesse dimensioni di un connettore PCIe x1 standard e si trova direttamente accanto allo slot PCIe x16 principale sulla scheda madre. La documentazione conferma inoltre che pu\u00f2 fornire fino a 600 W di potenza.
