Barcaffè presented gourmet coffee with the aroma of one of the best gins in the world
The leading regional coffee producer presented a special novelty in the premium coffee category in the exclusive atmosphere of the Barcaffè Academy on Kolinska, created in collaboration with the Croatian distillery Duh u boci, which produces the multi-award-winning Old Pilot's gin. It is Barcaffè Gin Barrel Aged coffee with the aroma of the famous gin. Produced from carefully selected raw coffee beans, aged in oak barrels of the best Croatian London dry gin, Barcaffè Gin Barrel Aged Coffee provides the experience of drinking premium gourmet coffee with a rich and multi-layered taste.

From aging in barrels for several months to coffee with a unique character
Barcaffè Gin Barrel Aged Coffee is created using a completely natural coffee aromatization method. A special blend of coffee beans is hand-infused into oak barrels that previously aged premium gin. During several months of aging in the barrels, the coffee beans absorb the complex aromas of pine, orange and native Mediterranean plants typical of Old Pilot's, giving this coffee its unique character.
After the aging process is complete, the coffee beans are carefully roasted to further enhance the coffee's authentic flavor and aroma. The end result is an exceptional gourmet coffee with a rich and layered flavor with notes of chocolate, hazelnut and caramel, enhanced by the aroma of gin and the deep, earthy character that comes from the oak barrels in which Old Pilot's was matured.
The unique production method and authenticity make Barcaffè Gin Barrel Aged coffee special and exclusive, which is why it will be available in a limited series in a 250 gram package exclusively in selected HoReCa outlets.
Christmas cocktail with double espresso
At the event, the multiple-awarded coffee expert Aleš Gorenc prepared a special Christmas coffee cocktail with the guests, which, he says, should not be missing during the holidays. "After Christmas morning, lunch or dinner, prepare a Christmas cocktail with 5 cl of gin, 2 dcl of tonic and a double espresso. So first we pour the gin, then the tonic, at the end we pour over everything with a double espresso and serve with a garnish of dried orange." And like a true barista, we serve the cocktail with a smile.
