A real beast for artificial intelligence

AOOSTAR has unveiled its latest Turbo mini PC, targeting gamers and professionals with its raw power. The device, reminiscent of the Steam Machine concept, offers an incredible upgrade option of up to 128GB of RAM. With AMD Ryzen 8000 series processors and a dedicated AI processing unit, the Turbo ranks alongside the most powerful workstations in its class.

Mini PCs have come a long way in recent years, but the AOOSTAR Turbo pushes the boundaries even further. The device is designed to compete directly with portable gaming consoles and compact desktop systems, packing extremely powerful hardware into a chassis measuring approximately 18.5 cm x 18.5 cm. The heart of the system is the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor with eight cores, which also includes a Radeon 780M graphics core and a dedicated NPU unit for accelerating AI tasks.

What sets this system apart from the competition is its support for RAM. While most mini PCs stop at 32GB or 64GB, the AOOSTAR Turbo allows for up to an incredible 128GB of memory via two DDR5 slots. This makes the device ideal for high-definition video editing, running multiple virtual machines, or locally processing complex AI models. For data storage, two NVMe SSD slots are available, providing lightning-fast transfer speeds.

Cooling such powerful components in a small chassis is always a challenge, so AOOSTAR has built an advanced cooling system with a large fan, which ensures stable operation even under full load. The Turbo does not compromise on connectivity: it is equipped with a USB4 port (40 Gbps), multiple USB-A connectors, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, which allows you to connect multiple displays at the same time. Two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports ensure stable network connection.

Although the AOOSTAR Turbo does not come with SteamOS pre-installed, its hardware design allows for easy installation of various Linux distributions, making it a modern version of the never-completed Steam Machine concept. The price for the basic model without memory and disk (barebones) is around 485 euros in the international market.
