Xiaomi has expanded its affordable smartphone lineup with the Poco C85x. The device was launched in India as part of the Poco C series. The new model is aimed primarily at users looking for basic features and long battery life at an affordable price.

The phone stands out primarily for its large screen. On the front is a 17.5 cm IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This allows for smoother navigation and smoother display of content.

The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, manufactured in a 6nm manufacturing process. The phone is equipped with four gigabytes of system memory and up to 128 GB of internal storage. The latter can of course be expanded with a microSDXC card. In terms of photography, the device offers a 32 MP main camera, while an 8 MP selfie camera is installed on the front.

One of the biggest advantages of the Poco C85x is its 6,300 mAh battery. It supports 15W charging and also reverse wired charging up to 7.5W, allowing you to use the phone as a power source for other devices.

The smartphone runs the Android 16 operating system with the HyperOS 3 user interface. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is available in India for around 110 euros, while the 128GB version costs around 120 euros. The device went on sale on March 14. The phone will be available in three colors: black, gold, and green. Hopefully, the new product will reach the European market sooner or later.
