The world wide web is still talking about the modular smartphone Fairphone 4 5G, which in principle means that we can replace only a certain part of its hardware if necessary and thus either repair it or upgrade it. For example, when a new, more powerful battery comes out, we simply replace it. This means we no longer need to buy a whole new phone. Technical knowledge is not even necessary here, as individual parts can be replaced quickly and easily, without a repairman and without any tools.

The Fairphone 4 5G smartphone is still capable of handling even the most demanding tasks, even though it was launched in 2021. It is equipped with a high-quality 16-centimeter or 6.3-inch high-resolution display and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G mobile processor. There are also six or eight gigabytes of system memory and 128 or 256 gigabytes of storage space. Therefore, the device is capable of handling even the most demanding tasks.

The built-in memory initially came with the versatile Android 11 mobile operating system. This was followed by the even better Android 12. In 2023, users received an update to Android 13, which was a big leap forward. Users received many new options that convinced even the most demanding users. Although they were supposed to receive Android 14 this year, this will not happen. Fortunately, they will receive Android 15. This should happen in the next few weeks via the update system.

The Fairphone 4 5G smartphone will receive updates until at least 2026. However, many believe that the popular phone will be supported until 2028. Currently, the Fairphone 4 5G smartphone receives updates twice a month and this will continue as long as support is provided.
