How powerful is the new Intel Arc B580 graphics card?

Intel recently introduced two new graphics cards from the Arc family, the Arc B580 and Arc B570. The newcomers, priced at around 300 euros, promise a lot.

Intel recently introduced two new graphics cards from its Arc family, the Arc B580 and Arc B570. The newcomers will be priced around €300 or less in Europe, aiming to capture the lower-end market where there is currently little (good) competition. At the event, they were compared to the existing RTX 4060 and RX 7600 cards.

Intel's new Battlemage graphics cards will be able to use ray-tracing and AI-powered upscaling technology via XeSS 2 for gaming at 1080p and 1440p. Powered by new AI-powered drivers called Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX), XeSS 2 supports frame generation and low latency modes, which should increase frame rates in supported games. But how does it actually perform in practice?

Zanesenjaki organizacije A Chiphell so zmogljivejši model Arc B580 preizkusili v navezi z merilnim programom 3DMark Time Spy. Rezultati so bili nadvse presenetljivi, saj je kartica skupno zbrala kar 15.551 točk. To v praksi pomeni, da je za okoli 12 odstotkov hitrejša v primerjavi s priljubljeno grafično kartico GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (13,872) in za okoli tri odstotke počasnejša od modela GeForce RTX 3080 (16,134). Novost je po zmogljivosti tudi nekoliko počasnejša v primerjavi z grafično kartico AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT (16,454).

The Intel Arc B580 graphics card will cost you around 237 euros in the United States. This means that for a small amount of money, buyers will get a great graphics card with 12 gigabytes of GDDR6 system memory. It will be interesting to see how the new product actually performs in practice.
