Powerful mini PC with Ryzen 7 processor for only 267 euros
GMKtec has launched an affordable mini PC in China, the GMK K12, featuring the AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 processor. It is an advanced processor from the Hawk Point family. The latter AMD processor is currently only available in the Chinese market and features 8 Zen 4 cores with a maximum power of up to 70 W.
The mini computer is equipped with integrated Radeon 780M graphics, which allows you to play modern AAA games at low to medium graphics settings. The K12 also features USB4 and OcuLink ports. It is also possible to connect an external graphics card (eGPU), such as the GMKtec AD-GP1, which costs 431 euros.
In terms of connectivity, the GMK K12 mini PC offers HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1 and two 2.5G Ethernet ports. The device supports up to 128 GB of DDR5 system memory at 5600 MHz and includes three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots. The latter can be used by the user to install up to 24 TB of storage in total.
To cool the hardware components, a new VC cooling system with 3D air vents and an active fan with intelligent speed control that adapts to system load is built in. Other features of the new product include three performance modes, support for WiFi 6E and the ability to connect up to four displays simultaneously.
The basic version of the compact GMK K12 desktop computer without system memory and built-in storage is available for just €267. GMKtec is also expected to launch an international version with a less powerful Ryzen 7 255 without the H designation soon. The retail price has not yet been disclosed.
