A smart ring that measures blood pressure without a cuff
Muse has unveiled a very interesting smart ring, the Ring One 2.0, which combines advanced health monitoring and practical features for everyday use. The device will be available through the startup platform Indiegogo, and the price has not yet been disclosed. However, many believe that the novelty will be affordable.
The ring's specialty is its ability to measure blood pressure without a cuff. While it's not yet clear how accurate the readings will be and whether calibration will be required, Muse promises to display real-time readings. The ring also detects atrial fibrillation (AFib), measures heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and skin temperature.
Ring One 2.0 also allows contactless payments via NFC and unlocks smart locks or cars. The titanium housing ensures durability, and the device is water resistant up to 100 meters.
The companion app uses artificial intelligence to analyze sleep quality and other data, allowing for more personalized advice for a healthy lifestyle. Some features will likely only be available with a subscription. More information about the new feature is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
