A good Xiaomi monitor impresses with its price and speed
Whatever you imagine, Xiaomi sells it. It is best known for phones, but in their ecosystem we can find practically everything: robot vacuum cleaners, human robots, robot dogs, dehumidifiers, food dispensers, mice and even monitors.
Xiaomi has launched the Curved Gaming Monitor 30″ (deserves zero points for the name) in the UK and Spain. The display was initially sold exclusively in China as the Redmi Curved Monitor 30″. It boasts a 21:9 aspect ratio and WFHD resolution (2560 x 1080 pixels) and a 200 Hz refresh rate. In addition, the device covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut, providing over 16.7 million colors.
The Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor 30″ has a good brightness of 300 nits and a contrast ratio of 3000:1, which ensures natural shadows and clarity in darker images. Xiaomi highlights that the 1800R curvature of the screen provides a more immersive experience and describes the edges as “ultra-narrow”, which at first glance look like the edges on any other monitor. The device has a response time of 4 ms and supports AMD FreeSync Premium to reduce screen tearing during gaming. Other features include Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes, DC dimming technology to reduce screen flickering, and a Low Blue Light mode certified by TUV Rheinland that filters out short-wavelength blue light.
Connections on the device include DisplayPort, HDMI 2.1, HDMI 1.4 and an audio jack. The 30-inch Xiaomi curved gaming monitor is already available in the Slovenian Xiaomi store for 275 euros.
