Final version of HyperOS 2.3 now available

Xiaomi has officially started the global rollout of the stable HyperOS 2.3 update based on Android 16. This version is no longer limited to testers and is now available to all users via the system settings. The Xiaomi 15 is the first recipient of the update (build OS2.0.217.0.WOCMIXM), which sets a new level of animation smoothness and system performance. By skipping the classic beta phase for the general public, Xiaomi aims to offer a reliable upgrade without major complications.

The HyperOS 2.3 update is expected to be rolled out gradually. It will be available first to the Xiaomi 15, and then to other devices in the coming weeks, if stability tests are successful. This approach reduces the chance of bugs and ensures compatibility across regions, including ours.

The key innovations in HyperOS 2.3 (Android 16) are improved animations and higher system performance. In addition, we find even greater stability and full support for Android 16 features. Xiaomi's goal with the new update is therefore to provide a modern and smooth user experience.

Users are advised to back up important data before upgrading. You may experience temporary heating or reduced responsiveness while the new system is being implemented. To upgrade, go to Settings > System > System update. The update is already available globally, but may take a few days to arrive depending on the region.
