Although liquid cooling has been used in laptops before, Lenovo claims that the Legion 9i does not need an additional external device for cooling. The question is how much this system will actually improve the already efficient cooling offered by Lenovo in its past models.

The Legion 9i will have a unique design with a forged carbon fiber body and a Mini-LED display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 94% screen-to-body ratio, which is quite impressive for a gaming laptop. For this price, we understandably expect the computer to be equipped with the most powerful graphics card on the market, which is currently the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. This was also officially confirmed by Lenovo. RAM capacity will stop at 64GB (DDR5 of course) and storage at 2TB.

Regarding the processor, opinions are divided. The 13th generation Intel Core i9-13980HX, which is the most powerful mobile processor from Intel, will be installed. Still, it looks like AMD's new 7945HX3D chip, coming soon, will outperform Intel's beast in testing.

Right now, the Legion 9i is mainly an opportunity for Lenovo to show how efficient their new cooling system is. If you have enough money to buy it, however, this is definitely one of the most advanced gaming devices on the market.
