The first silent WiFi 7 router for demanding environments

Ubiquiti has expanded its offering with the UniFi Industrial series, featuring the U7-I-Pro model. It is the first fanless router adapted for WiFi 7 access points, designed for stable operation in extreme conditions where dust and moisture make standard equipment unusable.

Ubiquiti has officially announced a new line of UniFi Industrial devices aimed at factories, warehouses and outdoor installations. The centerpiece is the U7-I-Pro model, which takes advantage of the WiFi 7 standard, but in a completely passively cooled housing. The device has no moving parts, which drastically reduces the possibility of failures in dusty environments.

Technically, the device supports three frequency bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz) with a total data transfer capacity of up to 9.3 Gbps. Wired connection is provided by a 2.5 GbE connector with Power over Ethernet (PoE+). The housing is protected according to the IP55 standard, which means it is dust and splash resistant, and can operate in a temperature range of -30 °C to 60 °C.

Despite its ruggedness, the device measures only about 20.6 cm in diameter and 4.6 cm in thickness. With this product, Ubiquiti is bridging the gap between professional networking equipment and equipment for heavy industry. In addition to this router, the company is planning industrial switches and additional access points that will be part of the same ecosystem.

The price for the new U7-I-Pro is around 465 euros. The product is already available in the official Ubiquiti online store and from authorized distributors.
