The first smartphone with a color E-Ink display
This unusual hybrid phone brings a refreshing twist to a world dominated by monotonous “glass rectangles”. The main trump card of the device is its two screens, which serve different purposes. On the front, we find a standard 16.71 cm (6.58-inch) IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is ideal for watching videos, playing games and fast web browsing. The real surprise, however, is hidden on the back of the device.
The back of the phone features a 13.21 cm (5.2-inch) color E-Ink display, which uses the latest color electronic paper technology. This display is perfect for long-term reading of e-books, checking notifications, or viewing static images without straining your eyes or draining your battery. Since the E-Ink display only consumes power when refreshing the image, the device can operate in this mode for significantly longer than conventional smartphones.
Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 7000 mobile processor that supports 5G connectivity. The phone is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The main camera is 50 MP, while the battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh provides enough energy to power both screens.
The device also includes a dedicated side button for quickly switching between the two screens, allowing for a fluid user experience. The price for this innovative piece of technology is currently set at approximately 460 euros.
