The new 200 MP, IP69-certified photography beast is officially here!
Tech giant Oppo has just lifted the veil on the latest model in its popular series, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max. The device has made its debut in the Taiwanese market, where its price is around 755 euros. Although it falls into the higher price range, its specifications justify every euro invested, as it brings some features that are rarely seen in the competition.
Elegance combined with power The phone boasts a large 17.22 cm (6.78-inch) AMOLED display, which offers a crystal-clear resolution of 2,772 x 1,272 pixels. Of particular note is the brightness, which reaches up to 1,800 cd/m², ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. Smooth scrolling through content is ensured by a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which the user can manually limit to 60 or 90 Hz to save energy. The entire front is protected by resistant Corning Gorilla Glass.
The device's body measures 161.26 x 76.46 x 7.65 millimeters, and despite its thinness, the phone weighs a solid 205 grams, which gives a feeling of robustness and quality workmanship.
Under the hood, we find an advanced MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. This octa-core processor, combined with a 5G modem, ensures lightning-fast performance and connectivity. Currently, the device is available in a configuration with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a spacious 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal memory, which will be more than enough to store thousands of photos and demanding applications.
The main trump card of the device is definitely the camera system. The primary sensor with a resolution of 200 MP allows you to capture incredible details. It is accompanied by a 50 MP telephoto lens that offers 3.5x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide-angle lens, also with 50 MP.
The Reno 15 Pro Max is IP69 certified. This means that the phone is not only dust and water resistant, but also resistant to high pressure and temperature. Oppo claims that the device is even suitable for underwater photography, but experts warn to be careful - even minor, invisible damage to the case can compromise the waterproofness.
A huge 6,345 mAh battery ensures long battery life. When it runs out, 80W fast charging takes over, charging the device in record time, which is crucial for modern, mobile users.
