Rufus, one of the most popular tools for creating bootable USB sticks, has released a new trial version (4.10) that brings several important features and fixes. One of the key new features is support for creating installation media compatible with Windows CA 2023, which is especially important for users preparing their systems for the new compliance requirements announced in June of this year. This feature requires the Windows 11 version 25H2 ISO file, which Microsoft recently released.

The new version also allows you to save an existing drive directly to an ISO file, although this functionality is currently limited to the UDF format. It is aimed at users who want to accurately preserve the structure of a boot or data drive for archiving or cloning. So without the need for additional tools. The experimental Rufus 4.10 also introduces a dark mode, which is a welcome change for users who prefer dark themes and want visual consistency with other applications.

Additionally, error reporting when saving to VHD and VHDX formats has been improved. A bug has been fixed that incorrectly reported UEFI DBX updates in certain time zones when none were present. A bug has also been fixed that caused the program to crash when processing ISO files with very long paths, an issue that affected some customized or enterprise versions of Windows.

You can download the latest beta version of Rufus 4.10 from Neowin's website or from the official GitHub repository.
