Trump T1 phone failure!

The Trump T1 Phone project is facing serious allegations of deception. The promised American manufacturing turned out to be a lie, and the device has been delayed for more than six months. Customers who paid a deposit are left empty-handed.

The story of the Trump T1 smartphone began in June 2026, when pre-orders opened with a required deposit of 93.28 euros. The announcement immediately raised a lot of dust, mainly due to the bold claim that the device would be entirely manufactured in the United States. However, these promises quickly faded. The specifications turned out to be misleading, and the company did not allow customers who requested a refund to do so.

The marketing strategy became even more bizarre when the ads began using visuals that strongly resembled the iPhone 16 Pro or Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. In fact, experts estimate that the Trump T1 is based on the Wingtech Revvl 7 Pro 5G model. This device costs less than half the price that the US President's team is asking for its model in China.

The original plan was for customers to receive their phones in August or September of last year. When that didn’t happen, the date was quietly pushed back to “the end of the year.” The year 2025 ended without a single device being shipped. Trump Mobile told the Financial Times that the delay was due to the US government shutdown, which prevented them from obtaining the necessary FCC certifications.

But that excuse is a bit shaky. While the FCC did indeed remain silent during the government shutdown, other manufacturers, like Leica with the M EV1, certified and released their devices just days after offices reopened in mid-November. The latest predictions from Android Authority put the phone out in late January, but given past lies about its provenance and design, experts are advising caution.
