Ultra-thin fanless mini computer
In the field of compact computers, a new model has appeared that combines very small dimensions and completely silent operation. The new MSI MS-C936 computer uses passive cooling, which means that there are no fans in the case, so the device operates completely silently. Such a design is especially interesting for industrial systems, where reliability and minimal maintenance are very important.
The MSI MS-C936 is powered by energy-efficient Intel Core Ultra processors, including the Core Ultra 7 165U. This processor offers up to 10 processor cores, which allows for quite powerful performance despite its small chassis. Such a combination is suitable for automation, edge computing, and various control systems.
One of the system's most important features is support for up to 96 GB of DDR5 system memory, which is installed in two SO-DIMM slots. This allows the computer to be used for more demanding tasks, such as data processing, virtualization, or industrial control systems.
The device also offers multiple storage options. There's an M.2-2280 slot that uses PCIe 4.0 x4 for fast NVMe SSD storage. There are also additional shorter M.2 slots that can be used for wireless modules or additional expansion.
For connecting to other mini computer devices MSI MS-C936 It includes several ports. These include USB-A ports, two Ethernet ports with different speeds (2.5 Gbit/s and 1 Gbit/s), and DisplayPort, which allows you to connect two displays with 4K resolution at 60 Hz.
Since the device is also intended for industrial environments, it is designed to operate in a wider temperature range. The system can operate in temperatures from approximately −10 °C to 60 °C, and the housing is protected from vibrations common in manufacturing environments.
The manufacturer has not yet revealed an official price or release date, but all the technical specifications of the device have already been published on MSI's website.
