Which female engineer will be in 2024? Applications are open.

The tender is open for female engineer in 2024. For the seventh time in a row, female engineers from Slovenian companies, organizations and other associations will present themselves to the public, who can be the best example and inspiration for young girls, so that they can more easily choose technical professions. Applications are possible until September 22.

Z izborom Inženirka leta organizatorji naslavljajo problem nevidnosti inženirk v družbi in gradijo skupnost slovenskih inženirk. Tudi letos lahko posamezniki, inženirke same, podjetja, organizacije in združenja svojo kandidatko za inženirko leta 2024 predlagajo prek obrazca na spletni strani natečaja. Prijave so odprte do nedelje, 22. septembra.

V središču izbora Inženirka leta niso inženirski dosežki posameznic, temveč njihov potencial, da so kot inženirke zgled in navdih mlajšim generacijam deklet. Pri izboru šteje tudi doprinos inženirk k razvoju tehnologije ter napredku gospodarstva in družbe kot celote. 

The purpose is the broadest and most effective social promotion of female engineers who can encourage, inspire and encourage young people with their personality and work to decide to enroll in engineering studies and an engineering career.

Among the registered candidates, the commission will select ten representatives of the seventh generation of Slovenian female engineers, who will be presented to the public for the first time on November 20, and the female engineer of 2024 will be announced on January 16, 2025 at a celebratory event.

Izbor, ki je nastal na pobudo Siemens Slovenija, je del iniciative We will be engineers!. Poteka v soorganizaciji revije IRT3000 in družbe Mediade s sodelujočimi partnerji. Izbor inženirke leta od 2023 poteka tudi na Hrvaškem in v Srbiji.
