Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Plus: Greater stability, powerful motor and 60 km range

Rush hour traffic in cities can be unbearable. This means that it can take an hour or more to travel a few kilometers, and most of that time is spent standing still or, at best, moving slowly. This is why it is wise to have an electric scooter, as it allows you to travel around the city much faster. Xiaomi is also well aware of this.

Xiaomi is making a bet on electric scooters. Their latest model, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Plus, is one step ahead of the competition. With the slogan "bigger is smoother," it features 12-inch (30.5 cm) tubeless tires, which provide a more stable ride than the 10-inch (25.4 cm) tires on other models. It also has a larger platform and higher handlebars, although Xiaomi has not yet announced exact dimensions.

With a maximum power of 900 watts, it reaches speeds of up to 25 km/h and offers up to 60 km of autonomy. It can handle slopes of up to 20 percent. It has three riding modes, and settings and riding data can be monitored via the Xiaomi Home app.

The newcomer is equipped with a double front suspension, traction control system (TCS), dual braking system and front and rear lights. The body is made of carbon steel and the device is foldable.

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Plus is priced at €466 in the Philippines. In Europe, it is expected to cost between €549.99 and €599.99. Support pages for the UK and France have already appeared on Xiaomi's website, indicating that a wider release is imminent.
