Xiaomi launches smart washer-dryer with self-cleaning function in Europe

The new Xiaomi washer-dryer is designed for maximum efficiency in limited spaces. The device measures a standard 60 cm in width and only 55 cm in depth, allowing it to be easily installed in most kitchens or bathrooms. Xiaomi has built a 53 cm diameter drum into the product, which can hold up to 10 kg of laundry for washing and 7 kg for drying. The main feature of this IT hardware is the self-cleaning system of the condenser and drum, which uses high-pressure water jets to remove lint and bacteria.

The Xiaomi device is controlled via a 17.78 cm (7-inch) color touchscreen or via the Mi Home app on a smartphone. The 2026 system uses artificial intelligence to automatically dispense detergent from a 15 cm (6.0 in) long tank. Xiaomi ensures quiet operation thanks to a direct-drive motor that reduces vibrations to less than 2 mm of travel. To connect to the home network, the device uses a Wi-Fi module, which allows remote start and monitoring of energy consumption on 68.58 cm (27-inch) monitors.

Xiaomi has also equipped the product with a steam sterilization function that penetrates deep into fabrics and removes up to 99.9% of allergens. The washing machine measures 85 cm in height and weighs approximately 72 kg, ensuring stability during spinning at 1400 rpm. The expected price in the UK market is around 650 euros, which Xiaomi justifies with a long lifespan and low maintenance costs. With this offer, Xiaomi is solidifying its vision of a fully connected and automated home.
