Xiaomi surprised with another cheap gaming monitor
The 2025 refresh for the Xiaomi Redmi G27Q monitor is available in the Chinese market for now. The pre-order price is around 120 euros, which is very attractive considering the specifications. The 27-inch IPS screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The panel has a refresh rate of 180 Hz, a GtG response of 1 ms and a 178-degree viewing angle.
The new G27Q monitor features AdaptiveSync. It's a gaming display technology that can adjust the display's refresh rate to match the GPU's output frames. Similar to AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync, it also works to reduce lag, eliminate image tearing and minimize stuttering.
In addition to gaming functions, the Xiaomi 2025 Redmi G27Q gaming monitor seems to be adequately equipped for more professional work as well. The panel has 95% DCI-P3 color coverage and 100% sRGB. In addition, it has 8-bit color depth and brightness rated at 300 nits.
To ensure a comfortable viewing experience even during long sessions, the new Redmi G27Q boasts TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. It also supports DC dimming, which can reduce screen flickering. A wide range of connectivity options are available, including two DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports.
Whether the monitor will also be available on the global market is not yet known.
