Ultralight tablet with laptop power and 16 hours of battery life
Honor has launched its new foldable flagship phone, the Magic V5, in China, as well as its premium Android tablet, the MagicPad 3. Although it uses last year's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the tablet is still more than powerful enough for more demanding tasks. Therefore, we are sure that it will easily appeal to many users.
The MagicPad 3 tablet offers up to 16 GB of system memory and up to 1 TB of data storage. On the front is a 13.3-inch LCD display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, and the DCI-P3 color spectrum. Brightness reaches up to 1,000 nits. The tablet even supports IMAX Enhanced for image enlargement.
Although the OLED panel from the previous generation replaces the LCD, the battery has received a major upgrade. It has a built-in battery with a capacity of 12,450 mAh with 66-watt fast charging. Combined with its own E2 chip, it allows for up to 16 hours of online movie playback. Even the most demanding users will easily appreciate this.
Despite the large battery, the device is very thin and light. The novelty weighs only 595 grams and measures only 5.79 mm thick. The “double R-curve” design allows for better grip. On the back there is a 13 MP main image sensor and a 2 MP macro camera, while on the front there is a 9 MP selfie camera. The MagicPad 3 also supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connections, has eight speakers and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 connector with support for DisplayPort 1.2.
The basic version of the Honor MagicPad 3 tablet (8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage) costs around 380 euros. The most powerful configuration (16 GB/1 TB) costs around 530 euros. The novelty should soon be available in our country.
