Honor is expanding its tablet lineup with a new entry-level model, the Honor Pad X7. It's an affordable device aimed at basic users and students, but it still offers surprisingly good specs for its price.

The Honor Pad X7 features an 8.7-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1,340 x 800 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 625 nits of brightness. This combination offers a smoother visual experience than most other devices in this price range. It is powered by the Snapdragon 680 mobile processor and has up to 6GB of system memory and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card.

There's an 8MP camera on the back, and a 5MP selfie camera on the front for basic video calls and pictures. The 7,020mAh battery supports 10W charging and reverse charging via cable, meaning the tablet can also power other devices. The Honor Pad X7 weighs just 365g and is 7.99mm thick, and the back is made of metal, giving the device a slightly more premium feel. It runs on Android 15, which means the software is relatively fresh and ready for future updates.

The tablet is currently available in Saudi Arabia. The version with 4 GB of system memory and 128 GB of storage costs 101 euros. Details on wider availability in other regions have not yet been confirmed, but given that the Honor Pad 10 was also available in Europe, we can expect a wider release for the X7 model. This should happen before the fall.
