Oppo A79 5G: its advantage is mainly the price

Oppo je pogosto podcenjeno podjetje. Izdeluje fantastične telefone, vendar je kljub temu v senci svojih rivalov. V Sloveniji se srečujemo s težavo, da kar nekaj odličnih blagovnih znamk pri nas ni na voljo ali jih je težko dobiti. OnePlus, Google Pixel, Nubia, ASUS in tudi Oppo … To so podjetja, ki bi lahko prevetrila dogajanje na trgu in morda odščipnila kakšen odstotek ostalim veljakom.

Oppov najnovejši telefon A79 bi lahko premešal štrene v srednjem razredu, kjer prevladujejo telefoni Redmi in Samsungovi vesoljci z oznako A. Njegova prednost je na prvem mestu cena. Začetna maloprodajna cena se giblje okoli 230 evrov za konfiguracijo 8 GB RAM-a in 128 GB prostora za shranjevanje. Na voljo je tudi podpora za 5G omrežje. Ni slabo. Telemach je pred kratkim izdal svoj telefon z zelo podobnimi specifikacijami, vendar občutno slabšim procesorjem – za 180 evrov oziroma 1 evro v akciji staro za novo. Pri neposredni primerjavi je Oppo zmagovalec.

Engineers have equipped the Oppo A79 5G phone with a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor. As already mentioned, it supports 5G mobile networks, in addition, the phone is equipped with a screen with a 17.1-centimeter or 6.72-inch diagonal, FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 60 hertz or 90 hertz. The phone is understandably aimed at basic users, although we see no reason why it wouldn't also be used for playing mobile games at a lower resolution.

To capture photos and videos, two cameras are built into the Oppo A79 5G smartphone, with a resolution of 50 million and two million pixels. The latter is a depth sensor and can hardly be classified as a camera. Only the main camera will be useful, and more or less only in daylight.

For video calls, the phone has a front camera with a resolution of eight million pixels. There is even a special Ultra-Clear Image algorithm that "changes" photos to an apparent resolution of 108 million points. To see how this will work or look like in practice, we will have to wait.

The Oppo A79 5G smartphone is also equipped with a 5,000 milliampere hour battery with 33 watt fast charging technology. This should be enough for at least a full day of use, if not maybe half a day more.
